Airport Systems Consultants, India based

Working alongside business and technical communities, we deliver professionalism, experience and innovation making a difference to those they work with. To support our growing work stream on major airport development projects in India, we now require a number of skilled engineers in the following areas:
- BMS / SCADA Systems – BSI and BHS;
- Communications Networks – LANs, WANs, WLANs, Telephony (VoIP and PABX), MATV, VHF;
As a specialist consultant you will define tender packages for a number of IT systems to support airport operation; evaluate tenders, make recommendations and work with successful bidders, implementing and deploying their systems.
You will demonstrate the following essential experience:
- clear understanding of large-scale systems development;
- system design and development: requirements elucidation, specification preparation, tender preparation and evaluation, control of system and software developments, testing and hand-over; and
- in-depth experience of one or more of the operational systems.
The following skills are desirable to the role:
- a good engineering degree – 2:1 or above (or equivalent) preferably in Computer Science, Systems/Software/Electrical/Electronic Engineering;
- process design or operational understanding;
- familiarity with the methods / tools used to develop complex systems;
- knowledge of systems and software development and assessment standards; and
- experience in performing assessments of systems and software supplier capabilities.
You will demonstrate impeccable commercial awareness with an eye for identifying business opportunities. You will be highly motivated and adaptable to change, with the ability to make decisions and drive things forward.
With your solid engineering skills set and IT experience you will have the ability to think beyond the current requirements and manage customer expectations effectively.
